BELLE VUE

HT2 -- 9TH

CON -- D.N.F

GN -- D.N.F

Not a lot to report on really from this meeting.Andy finished 9 in his ht and thus failed to qualify for the final as it was the first 8 to the final. In the consolation Andy had to pull off as the engine was not running as it should. Andy came out in the GN and was going well  but picked up a flat tyre so that was the end of the racing for the evening.

COVENTRY APRIL 4TH 2009

HT2 -- D.N.F

CON -- 6th

FINAL -- FINISHED BUT OUTSIDE TOP 10

Andy was very pleased at the end of the meeting on how the car had both handled and how it felt power wise.In Ht2 Andy did not finish as he pulled onto the centre green as the car had smoke coming from under the bonnet for 2 laps. In the pits once the bonnet was opened it was diagnosed that the rocker cover gasket had seaped oil and it had dripped onto the exhaust and this had caused the smoke. The Rocker Cover was tightened and the car was ran for a few minutes to see if this happened again and it didn't so the car was refuelled and Andy lined up for the consolation. In the consolation Andy drove well and attained a 6th place finish  and therefore qualified for the final in a race that had red tops a plenty. Before the final the car was checked over refuelled and a new outside rear tyre was fitted. The final started and Andy got off to a very good start and was 2 nd for a third of the race until there was a race stoppage and then the field all closed up and Andy drove a very good second half of the race but unfortunately he just finished outside the top 10.Andy did not race in the Grand National.

BELLE VUE MARCH 15TH 2009

HT1 -- 3rd

HT2 -- 7th

FINAL -- 5th

GN -- 8th

Andy was quite pleased with his first outing of the 2009 Season he finished all his races and got some good results into the bargain. Ht1 Andy finished 3rd this was the first race since the cars extensive winter rebuild and a very pleasing third was achieved. Ht2 Andy finished 7th the race started well with Andy having some good battles with his fellow yellow grade drivers. In the latter stages of the race Andy faded off and back in the pits the problem was found to be a plug lead had deattached itself from the engine, before Andy went out for the final the Rear Outside Wheel was changed. Final finished 5th Andy started the final well but the engine seemed to be under powered Andy thought there was a problem with fuel and the carburettor after a quick diagonosis it was decided to try the car in the GN Andy finished 8th but the problem with the cars power under achieving was still evident. After the meeting Andy said he enjoyed his first meeting as it was 'good  Stock Car Racing'.
