The F2 No. 693 car was a self built car.
The first car was an ex-Paul Harrison No. 2/Paul Pennington 382 car which was originally fitted with a 460 Ford engine purchased from Brian Powles.
The next car was an ex-Des Chandler car, ex-213. This car was written off after Andy hit Tony Williams, ex-83, head on at Northampton.
In 1998, Andy built his own car. The car boasted a 454 Peter Knight Chevy Engine, Doug Nash gear box etc. This was a good solid car and eventually was sold to Mark Poole, No. 276.
The current car was assembled together in 2003. It was purchased as a flat chassis and roll cage. A lot of work and man hours have gone into the car to make it into a race winner. This car is also fitted with a 454 Chevy engine.
The car has won at Belle Vue, Coventry, Kings Lynn and Sheffield.
In 2007 the current car took Andy to victory at Coventry in a meeting where he won the Richard Ahern Trophy and the Steve Froggatt Trophy. As well as this, in 2007 Andy won races at Sheffield and quite a number of grade awards.
